Guatemala, 21 May ( Cerigua ) .- The Coordinating Committee of Agricultural Commercial Industrial and Financial (CACIF ) noted that Guatemalans deported from responsibility for economic crisis the country.

The business leaders considered, in a statement that discloses a proposal to address the financial situation, the social problem caused by those expelled from the United States has contributed to the current economic climate.

Rising prices of basic food products, transportation costs and a slowing national economy, have also exacerbated the problem, according to CACIF.

The private sector proposed a reform of the law to allow for reinvestment designed to create jobs and opportunities, and to ratify and implement the Convention 175 of the International Labour Organization (ILO ) to allow the creation of more jobs.

CACIF suggested starting a program in rural areas for investment in infrastructure, irrigation projects, housing, rural access roads, storage facilities, hydroelectric power generation, industrialization of agriculture and tourism incentives, among others.

Employers stressed the need for productivity, wages, especially in the poorest municipalities, a proposal that is rejected by the social organizations that monitor labor rights of workers, considering that this measure is exploited labor people.

CACIF recommended the government to spend responsibly and transparently, to invest in priority areas, which would promote bilingual education (English-English) and to improve public safety.
